Rotarians Combatting Human Trafficking and Slavery – Carinne Murphy
October 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Carinne Murphy’s pronouns are she, her, hers. She is a wife, mom, a corporate paralegal, small business owner and in leadership roles in several non-profit, philanthropic and political organizations. She has been a Rotarian for several years and recently joined the newly formed satellite, E-Club known as the Metro Rotary Club.
Carinne became aware of the human trafficking and slavery crises shortly after joining an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for survivors of sexual assault. She learned about the prevalence of human trafficking and other forms of slavery right in our backyards in NJ and through out the world.
Knowing that Rotary International has been committed to anti human trafficking and anti slavery work she quickly joined Rotary District 7490’s Rotarians Combatting Human Trafficking and Slavery Committee, which she now chairs.
Carinne is not a survivor of human trafficking and her career is not related to any of the many professional services involved in anti human trafficking work. She is providing this information to bring our Club awareness. If our Club would like to help combat human trafficking it is important to allow Carinne to connect us to trusted alliances and partners that know best what services are needed and have the proper professionals involved to provide these volunteer services safely and appropriately.
